Grim Chieftain
Grim Chieftain's JournalHe's going to get away with all of it, isn't he? n/t
Why can't he just die?
I am sorry, wishing someone dead is beneath me, but he is so evil and has caused so much grief, pain, suffering and death.
So many truly good people have died in the past few months, good people who have lived lives of grace and dignity, hurting no one, and here he is - living in absolute luxury, not being held to account for his many, many crimes, crimes against humanity, sexual perversion, felonies against this once great nation; the list goes on and on.
I always believed that good would win out, that there would be consequences, yet there are none where he is concerned. He gets away with the most horrific crimes, and there is no accountability whatsoever.
He is nearly eighty, The time for retribution is now. He needs to meet his maker in hell.
Hmmm...notice how little has been said about the Epstein files recently?
I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
I've noticed lately there have been numerous posts asking about DU posters
who haven't posted for awhile. Because this is a caring community, we notice absences and it often raises concern.
I know the news these days can get a bit too much, and for our own well-being, we need to take a break and step back for a day or two or longer. If that is the case for you, you might want to let your DU family know.
We are with you, friends.
So, what is it going to take to stop him?
Seriously, what is it going to take? He is beyond insane, he's destroying our country and our democracy by the day. He's alienating our allies, committing crimes on a world-wide scale, initiating a war of choice without going through proper channels and getting away with nearly all of it.
I am well beyond thinking our elected officials will step up, show some damn strength, courage and integrity and put a stop to this.
I really think it is going to take "We the People" to save our democracy. This evil cabal cannot go on with merely a weak slap on the wrist.
So, do we have a citizens' shutdown where we don't buy anything, don't go to school, don't go to work (essential personnel excepted)? What is it going to take to save the United States of America?
My heart is breaking for our country and our democracy.
Why, why, why can't he just die?!
I am so very sorry, friends, to post such a thread, but my heart is breaking for all the damage he has done, the lives that have been lost under his reign of terror, the pain and suffering he has caused with jobs lost, health care lost or priced out of reach. the false arrests of law-abiding citizens, families torn apart...the list goes on and on, but I know I'm preaching to the choir here.
He's even evaded three or possibly four assassination attempts. He is evil personified, and yet he's in the White House, living in the lap of luxury, destroying what this country has held dear for 250 years.
I'm a Baby Boomer; we've fought the good fights, stood up in masses to protect and defend this country, and Trump and his evil horde are destroying it every single day. Yes, every single day. I fear for the young people who will inherit this horror.
In what should be my golden years, I hate to wake up to this every morning. It hurts beyond words,
Do you think Trump's bizarre, unhinged tirade against the Supreme Court is the final tipping point?
We have heard numerous Democratic senators and representatives say that off camera, Republicans have expressed concern about Trump's unhinged demeanor. Is this finally what it will take for them to say "Enough" and back impeachment? Clearly there has to be a point at which they stand up and put country above the crazed felon. Thoughts?
I just read that ICE is all over Lawrence, KS
Home of KU and the KU Jayhawks. Lawrence is known as a very liberal city, which is probably why they are there. Damn!
Thank you so much for the Valentine hearts!
Your kindness has really touched my heart and brightened my day. I am so grateful for this wonderful DU family.
Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Okay, I'm just going to go ahead and say it
The behavior we saw today out of Pam Bondi is not normal. She yelled, lied, accused people of a variety of things without any basis of proof, and deflected verifiable facts concerning Trump and numerous members of his administration. She shouted over elected officials who were trying to speak and dismissed questions she did not want to address.
To say she was unhinged is putting it mildly.
She had no sense of tact, decorum or professional demeanor. Logic, reason and ethics were absent in her performance. It is disturbing and alarming that someone with such inability to conduct herself in a professional, reasonable, controlled manner should be in a position of authority.
It was frankly chilling. This should be of concern to all of us.
